Glenn Chong walked out during Senate hearing: "Nakita niyo hindi tayo pinagsasalita? Kanina pa ako taas ng taas ng kamay ko"

Former Biliran Representative, and election resource person Atty. Glenn Chong decided to walk out in the middle of the second Senate hearing on the alleged 2016 election fraud under COMELEC-Smartmatic. In a quick interview, Chong said that he decided to leave because he feels that the committee does not really want him to speak. During the Facebook live coverage by PTV, Chong was seen raising his hands several times attempting to be heard by the committee, but he was denied. He then stood up from his seat and left the chamber. “Nakita niyo hindi tayo pinagsasalita? Kanina pa ako taas ng taas ng kamay ko,” the lawyer said. He said that it was only Senate President Tito Sotto who have him a chance to speak. Unfortunately, Sotto left earlier than him. Former Senate President Koko Pimentel was the one left to head the hearing until it ended. “Kung hindi kay Tito Sen, hindi ako tatawagin,” Chong said. Because he was too disappointed, the former Biliran representative urges his supporters not to vote for Senators who allegedly wanted to hide the truth or wanted to silence the people trying to expose the anomalies in automated elections. Chong said that he also expected that the committee would still want Smartmatic to handle the next elections in 2019. The lawyer said that he’s not afraid of the threats from Liberal Party (LP) who did not even attend the second hearing. “Sabi ng LP babalatan daw ako ng buhay? Eh asan sila, ako nandito sila wala?” Chong said.* “Pinakita ko sa inyo na wala akong takot, buong tapang pumuta ako dito kahit na sinabi nila na babalatan nila ako ng buhay,” he added. Chong said that it was noticeable how the committee only wanted the Comelec and Smartmatic to speak, that reason why he chose to walk out. “Hindi nila ako pinag sasalita, gusto niyo yan? Kaya nag walk out na ko,” he said. Chong encouraged the public to spread his message through social media. “Ipakalat natin ito sa tao, para malaman nila na ang kapangyarihan ay nasa kamay natin, wala sa kanila” he said.
