Thinking Pinoy: TRILLANES RELATIVES' COMPANY WON CONTRACTS FROM AT LEAST 8 GOV’T AGENCIES AND GOCC'S

Following Thinking Pinoy also known as RJ Nieto’s earlier post showing documents that former Aquino administration allegedly awarded a contract to firm owned by Senator Antonio Trillanes’ kin without proper bidding, comes another revelation.

Thinking Pinoy (TP), in another Facebook post alleged Trillanes relatives’s company got awarded with contracts from at least eight government agencies during Aquino’s time, including companies owned and controlled by the state.

TP maintained that Trilink Technologies is owned by embattled senator Trillanes's relative named Henry Trillanes.

“After publishing the said documents, I checked Trilink’s official website [ https://trilinktech.com.ph] and I found out in its “About” page that the family-owned company was awarded multiple contracts with various government agencies and government-owned and -controlled corporations” TP wrote

TRILLANES RELATIVES' COMPANY WON CONTRACTS FROM AT LEAST 8 GOV’T AGENCIES AND GOCC'S

Earlier, I posted documents showing that the Noynoy Aquino government in 2015 awarded without bidding a multi-million MRT-3 communications maintenance contract to Trilink Technologies.

Trilink is owned by Senator Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV relative Henry Trillanes. Henry, one of the senator’s top campaign donors, contributed P3 million towards Sonny’s 2013 senatorial run. Note that all six members of Trilink’s board of directors share the same last name: Trillanes. [https://bit.ly/2Ny4hM5].

After publishing the said documents, I checked Trilink’s official website [ https://trilinktech.com.ph] and I found out in its “About” page that the family-owned company was awarded multiple contracts with various government agencies and government-owned and -controlled corporations, namely:

1. DOTC-MRT3
2. Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA)
3. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas
4. APO Production Unit, Inc., an agency under the PCOO*
5. Light Rail Manila Corporation
6. Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR)
7. Philippine Army Special Forces Regiment - Airborne
8. Philippine National Police

You can access Trilink’s about page at https://bit.ly/2x8DwmT or, if the page has been changed recently, you can also check an archived copy at https://bit.ly/2NE2C7w . The second link provides a snapshot of Trilink's About Page, taken on 12 September 2018 at around 3:00 PM Manila.

If Trillanes believes that relatives of government officials shouldn’t be involved in government contracts, then why didn’t he start with a very public probe of his own relatives' dealings with the government, just like what he's attempting to do with companies owned by relatives of SAP Christopher Bong Go?

NOTES:
1. I covered the names of Trilink’s private sector clients to help protect their businesses, as their connection with Trilink has little to do with the issue at hand.

2. I accidentally covered the entry for MIAA but you can just check the list of Trilink's clients at https://bit.ly/2NE2C7w
